Why New York
For workloads that face the United States
If your users, your customers or the APIs you call are in North America, the round trip from Istanbul is the wrong shape no matter how fast the server is. Distance is the one thing tuning cannot fix, and a location on the US East Coast is the answer to it.
A second place to fail into
Two locations on two continents is a real disaster-recovery story in a way that two racks in one building is not. Whether that is worth its cost depends on what your downtime costs — which is your number, not ours.
A different jurisdiction
Some contracts require data to sit outside Türkiye, and some require it to sit inside. Having both means the answer to that clause is a location choice rather than a different supplier. What the clause requires is a question for your counsel, not for us.
